Kazakh tour operators told which national dishes are most loved by foreign guests. The most popular was expected to be besbarmak, or "meat in Kazakh". Depending on the taste preferences of tourists, the dish is served with horse meat, beef or lamb. And in the west of Kazakhstan, you can taste fish "fishbarmak".
In second place – bauyrsak. Each region of the country has its own unique recipe for this flour product. And its variety "shi bauyrsak" tourists often take with them as souvenirs, because it is very convenient to transport.
The honorable third place goes to kazy – homemade sausage made of peppered and salted meat cut from the ribs of a horse. It is often served together with meat in Kazakh.
This is followed by national sweets – zhent and kyzyl irimshik. Many entrepreneurs offer tourists to buy these desserts as souvenirs in small beautiful gift sets.
Kyzyl irimshik is a sweet cottage cheese. Jokingly, this dish is called "Kazakh Raffaello". It is prepared from cottage cheese with the addition of various sweet ingredients.
"Kazakh chocolate is very popular, both as a product for consumption and as a souvenir. Europeans and tourists from the CIS can be counted among the true connoisseurs of our national cuisine," said Moldir Abdualieva, the official representative of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
