Foreigners face difficulties obtaining visas in Kazakhstan

Minister of Tourism and Sports Ermek Marzhikpayev admitted that foreigners face difficulties in obtaining visas in Kazakhstan.

Speaking at a government meeting, the minister noted that many complaints from tourists were caused by issues of the visa and migration regime.

“According to tour operators, foreign visitors are facing difficulties in obtaining a visa due to technical problems with the visa and migration portal. As a result, tour operators had to cancel booked tours for foreign tourists,” Marzhikpayev said.

In this regard, the ministry wants to increase the number of personnel in the migration services of airports and ensure the uninterrupted operation of the visa and migration portal. In addition, it is planned to improve the visa and migration regime through digitalization and simplification of procedures for obtaining visas.
