A native of the Philippines named Jimlin recently visited Kazakhstan. She shared her impressions of the culture, nature and hospitality of the local people.
Jimlin, a finance specialist from Dubai, noted the special warmth and hospitality of the Kazakh people. For her, traditional tea drinking was a real discovery.
"The Kazakh people are very warm and very hospitable. I learned that traditional Kazakh tea is more than just a drink, it is a ritual that brings people together, strengthens ties. The family of my friend Aida, who invited us to Kazakhstan, organized a dinner for us, where I got acquainted with Kazakh cuisine. I was pleasantly surprised and happy with every dish served to us. We tried almost all the famous delicacies like beshbarmak," said Jimlin.
The foreigner found the samsa especially attractive. The girl emphasized the interesting combination of meat and aromatic spices.
“Now I just love samsa! I’ve always been a fan of dishes like empanadas, but samsa has a different taste. It’s a savory mixture of minced meat and aromatic spices,” she said.
According to Jimlin, there were no major difficulties on the trip, as their friend made the trip easy and fun. The girl highlighted the language barrier as one of the cultural differences.
As Jimlin said, during her travels she learned the phrase "rahmet sіzge", thanks to which she was able to express gratitude to the people she met.
In conclusion, the girl emphasized that Kazakhstan is a wonderful country, which, in her opinion, is underestimated.
"I find Kazakhstan a very beautiful country that many take for granted! There are places in Central Asia that are exactly the same as in Europe. And the scenery was simply breathtaking! I can't wait to visit again in the summer or fall ", Jimlin concluded her story.
