How prices for winter entertainment in Kazakhstan have changed over 5 years

The cost of winter entertainment in Kazakhstan and how the price has changed over the past five years was found out by analysts from the Kazakh life insurance company Freedom Life.

It is reported that this winter the cost of ice skating for adults in different regions of the country is 1,000 to 5,000 tenge. A one-time subscription for daytime skiing and snowboarding costs fans of winter entertainment 1,500-11,400 tenge. For ice slide rides on cheesecakes and balloons (tubing) you need to pay 1500-3500 tenge. For children, the cost of ice skating is from 800 to 2,500 tenge, skiing - 1,000-5,000 tenge, tubing - up to 3,000 tenge.

Over the past five years, winter entertainment has increased in price across all categories. For example, if previously you had to pay 1,500 tenge for an adult and 800 tenge for a child to stay at the skating rink, today these prices have risen to 2,300 and 1,400 tenge, respectively.

Rental equipment has also become more expensive. Tubing has increased in price the most. If five years ago it cost 1,200 tenge per person, today you need to pay 2,600 tenge for the same pleasure. Rental of skates increased by 38%, equipment for skiers and snowboarders - by 17%.

In Almaty, the most affordable ice skating is at Medeo. For adults it will cost 1000 tenge per hour, for children it is free. The most expensive ice is at Esentai Mall. Here they charge 5,000 tenge for adults and 2,500 tenge for children.

In the regions, the list of available ones includes the Kyzylorda Ice Arena “Muz Aidyny”. The price for adults here is 1000 tenge, for children - 800 tenge. Pavlodar Ice Arena is also pleased with the prices. Here they charge 1,100 tenge from all categories of skaters. In Astana, Shymkent, Aktau, Aktobe, the Almaty Alatau Palace and Almaty Arena, skating for adults costs 1500 tenge, for children – 800-1000, and in some places it’s completely free.

“Tau Samaly”: for children - 1000 tenge, for adults - 1500 tenge.

For example, you can purchase one for skiers and snowboarders on the website or in the mobile application of the Shymbulak ski resort along with the purchase of a Ski pass. Under the terms of the Ski Protect insurance program, in the event of an insured event, the payment can be up to 800,000 tenge," the company added.
