What Kazakhstan presented at the ITB tourism exhibition in Berlin
Kazakhstan is participating in one of the world's most prestigious tourism exhibitions in Berlin. Each year it welcomes representatives from over 180 countries and regions. Our delegation presented the guests with attractive routes around Kazakhstan, introduced them to the culture and treated them to dishes of national cuisine.
ITB exhibition is the world's largest platform for exchanging tourism experiences. It has been held in Germany annually since 1966 and brings together tour operators, airlines, and representatives of the hotel business. About 40 representatives of travel companies represent Kazakhstan. They offer a wide selection of routes, including hiking in the mountains, expeditions in the steppes, as well as eco- and ethnotourism. The main task is to establish business contacts and attract as many foreign travelers as possible to Kazakhstan. For this purpose, a delegation headed by Vice-Minister of Tourism and Sports Yerzhan Erkinbayev is in Berlin.

- Already in the morning we were visited by the mayor of Berlin, the Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization, the first head of WTTC - this is the World Tourism Council, as well as the head of Messe Berlin. This suggests that Kazakhstan is well known today. In the near future we may become a partner country for this exhibition. This is a very big achievement.
Of all the countries of Central Asia, the mayor of Berlin visited only the stand of Kazakhstan. For complete immersion in Kazakh culture, our delegates invite guests to get acquainted with the sights of the country, the decoration of the yurt, and of course, taste national treats. Experts note that Kazakhstan has great potential for attracting foreign tourists.

- Kazakhstan has great potential. The country offers everything from seaside destinations and beach holidays to mountain climbing. Personally, I would be happy to travel to Kazakhstan again. It's been a long time since I was there last.
According to Yerzhan Erkinbayev, Kazakhstan is a new country for the West and has not yet been fully discovered, and the Berlin exhibition provides an opportunity to express oneself on the international stage. Chairman of the Board of the national company “Kazakh Tourism” Kairat Sadvakasov held bilateral meetings with a number of German companies, during which he presented Kazakh projects to investors. Representatives of the tourism industry in Kazakhstan were able to establish direct interaction with the business community of Germany and other countries.
