These days, on May 18-19, Astana hosts TRAVELHUB Kazakhstan, a conference dedicated to the development of IT technologies in the tourism and hospitality industry in the CIS.


TRAVELHUB Kazakhstan is a platform for tourism and hospitality professionals interested in business development using IT technologies. The purpose of the conference is to provide participants with an idea of market and technological trends in each of the segments of the tourist market.

The two-day business program is divided into four main blocks depending on the market segment: TravelTech, HotelTech, TourismTech and Creative Industries.

In the TravelTech block, market leaders – online agencies, service providers and global technology providers - talk about technologies in online travel, air and ground transport. Among them are Aviata, Aviasales, KTZ, Russian Railways, Amadeus, Sabre, My Agent, Yandex, etc. Travel startups present their developments – innovative online services for travelers, tour operators, guides and hoteliers, and an expert jury, including representatives of Kazakh Tourism, Astana Hub, Jusan Travel and others, will select the best projects based on the results.

The HotelTech block consists of three panels where issues of the state and trends of the hotel market, TravelTech in the hospitality industry and MICE tourism are discussed.

Representatives of Rixos Water World Aktau, Caravanserai and Ostrovok booking systems speak about trends in the field of hotel services.

Representatives of technology companies give reviews about trends and technologies in the hospitality industry Bronevik.com , TravelLine, Shelter, etc.

Representatives of Wyndham Hotels, Kazakh Tourism, Sun House Team, etc. give reviews of the development of MICE and urban tourism in Kazakhstan and Central Asian countries.

The second day of the conference is expected to be no less eventful. The TourismTech block is dedicated to market trends and technologies in the tourism industry. Kazakh Tourism, ProfiTravel, the National Statistics Bureau ASPIR RK, the Kamkor Foundation will make analytical reports and presentations of technological developments, the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan, the participation of tourist administrations and representatives of the business community of the regions of Kazakhstan is expected in the panel discussions. Representatives of foreign state organizations and business structures will share information about the markets of their countries, including: the Republican Union of the Tourism Industry (Belarus), the Automated Control System eMehmon (Uzbekistan), the Tourism Development Support Fund (Kyrgyzstan), etc.

The issues of using technologies for travel companies will be discussed in a panel discussion organized by the Kamkor Foundation, with the participation of leading travel agencies, tour operators and technology providers. The discussion will be attended by representatives of My Agent, Compass, FUN&SUN, Ratehawk, I'way, etc.

Special attention is paid to the market of growing domestic and inbound tourism. On the development of the market of organized excursions and author's tours, there will be reports from the organizers of unique trips around Kazakhstan, market players will discuss the current situation with the demand and supply of tourist products in Central Asia, as well as explore new points of profitability growth and the possibilities of online platforms.

Companies participate among online platforms: Tripster, Citypass Kazakhstan, foreign startups and domestic online marketplaces of tours and excursions, as well as training centers for LC Credo, DUAL guides.KZ, Arman Tour and others.

Industry experts will discuss the development and trends of markets in Central Asia and the CIS, as well as the prospects for the growth of tourist flows from the Middle East, India, and China. Tour operators and business associations will discuss the most important issues of organized excursions, including the state of licensing, training and certification of personnel, the quality of interpretation of information about tour facilities and the price-quality ratio of tour services. Among the speakers are representatives of non-governmental organizations: NGO KazAlpineCLub, FST, Association of Agro and Rural Tourism, SAGiTO, NAIT and KTA, and others.

The Creative Industries program block, which will be held on the second day of the conference, will host three panel discussions on the following topics: prospects for the development of creative industries, creative clusters as drivers of the development of destinations and the social effect of creative industries.

Within the framework of these sessions, the ambassadors of creative industries from Kazakh Tourism will be awarded. The ambassadors will be promising entrepreneurs, whom we recommend for the nomination "Forbes 30 under 30".

The TRAVELHUB conference is being held in Kazakhstan for the first time. The event is organized by Kazakh Tourism together with the Travel Startups community. The TRAVELHUB conference has been held since 2016 and is one of the largest IT conferences in tourism and hospitality in the CIS. The event is attended by more than 300 participants.

TRAVELHUB Kazakhstan is part of the business program of the Qazaqstan Life Fest 2023 exhibition, which takes place from May 18 to 20 at the EXPO International Exhibition Center in Astana. Attendance at the conference is free for registered participants of the exhibition.
