The flow of tourists from South Korea to Kazakhstan has tripled

In Seoul, at a gala reception in honor of Republic Day, they noted a three-fold increase in the flow of South Korean tourists to Kazakhstan compared to the previous year, Arnapress.kz reports with reference to Khabar 24.

The number of contacts at the highest level has also increased.  The presidents of the two countries, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Yun Seok-yeol, recently held a meeting in New York.  At the festive evening, ambassadors of foreign states accredited in Seoul and Kazakhstanis were treated to dishes of Kazakh cuisine.  Two air tickets on the route “Incheon – Almaty” were raffled off among visitors.

Representatives of the Kazakh diaspora in Korea delighted the audience with a concert program.  Opera singer Nurkanat Tapiev, who is conquering the Korean stage, and musician Son Won Seob, who has become popular among Kazakhstani youth, also presented their work.

“Last year, bilateral trade grew and reached $6.5 billion.  South Korea’s investments in Kazakhstan amounted to about $9 billion.  We attract the best Korean technologies,” noted the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Korea Nurgali Arystanov.
