There is an increase in the number of foreign tourists in Kazakhstan

From January to September 2023, 834.9 thousand foreign tourists visited the country. This is 225 thousand more people than a year ago. The growth was 37% compared to the same period last year. At that time, 609.8 thousand foreigners visited Kazakhstan.

At the end of nine months of 2023, the number of domestic tourists served by accommodation facilities increased by 553 thousand people compared to the same period in 2022, amounting to 5.4 million people. This figure is 1.3 million people higher than the pre-pandemic level.

“In recent years, there has been a noticeable increase in interest in Kazakhstan among tourists from all over the world. This year, more than 800 thousand foreigners visited our country, and by the end of the year we expect this number to increase to 1.4 million. This fact confirms the attractiveness of our natural beauties, cultural heritage and hospitality. We are working to make Kazakhstan even more attractive to tourists and provide them with an unforgettable experience in our country,” noted the acting chairman of the MTS Tourism Industry Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nurtas Karipbaev.
