Serik Zharasbaev was born in 1984 in the North Kazakhstan region.
Graduated from North Kazakhstan State University named after Kozybayev, Russian International Olympic University.
Over the years, he worked as a boxing coach, instructor at the Petropavlovsk Youth Sports School, chief specialist, and head of the department of physical culture and sports in the North Kazakhstan region.
In 2011-2012 - expert, chief expert of the department of scientific and methodological support, innovative technology and education of the Sports Committee of the International Sports Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 2012-2014 - head of department, director of the department of elite sports and sports reserve of the department of the Agency for Sports and Physical Culture.
In 2014-2018 - Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Sports and Physical Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Sports (MCS).
In 2018-2019 - Chairman of the Committee for Sports and Physical Culture of the ISS.
In 2019-2021 - Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Sports and Physical Culture of the ISS.
In 2021 - first vice-president of the ROO "Kazakhstan Federation of Curling, Floor Curling and Petang".
From 2021 to 2023 - Vice Minister of Culture and Sports.
From 2023 to the present - Director of the Almaty Olympic Training Center.
