Deputy Sultan Dyusembinov reminded about the importance of ecotourism development.
"Every second foreign tourist contributes to the creation of one job. According to the World Tourism Organization, tourism is the second most profitable sector of the economy after oil production. In Kazakhstan, there are opportunities for the development of ecotourism in nature parks. However, the lack of appropriate infrastructure restricts this process, " Sultan Dyusembinov said in his sub-request at the plenary session of the Senate.
According to him, during the summer period, there is a lack of electricity in recreation areas on the coast of Alakol, the quality of Internet and communication is not at the proper level, funds allocated for strengthening the coastline have not been used for 3 years.
"On the territory of Lake Esik, simple necessary conditions have not been created, such as personal hygiene points, garbage cans, visual information stands and guides, telephone communication and Internet, and recreation conditions have not been improved. Creating conditions for peasant farms to be involved in the construction of hotels and glampings to serve tourists, in addition to increasing farmers ' incomes, could contribute to the creation of new jobs and the development of tourism," the deputy said.
But, he stressed, it is hindered by the lack of a program, an appropriate system that creates conditions for the real development of tourism on the part of the state, bureaucracy in state bodies. We see that business representatives in this area live independently.
"Therefore, it is recommended to develop a new state program that will create real conditions for turning tourism into a full-fledged driver of the economy, aimed at fully exploiting the country's tourism potential," he said.Dyusembinov.
