Emirates Airlines is considering the issue of opening flights to Kazakhstan, Tengritravel.kz reports with reference to the Civil Aviation Committee of the Ministry of Transport.
It is noted that the company’s flights to Kazakhstan may open as early as 2024
“Chairman of the Civil Aviation Committee Talgat Lastaev met with representatives of Emirates airline, led by the regional manager for Iran and Central Asia, Mr. Mohammed Salim Alhammadi. During the meeting, representatives informed that the airline plans to open flights to Kazakhstan in 2024. The timing of the opening of flights is related to supplies Boeing 787 and Airbus A350 aircraft,” the report notes.
At the same time, in accordance with the agreements between the aviation authorities of Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates, the “open skies” regime operates between the countries, according to which there are no restrictions on flight operations regarding airlines, routes, flight frequency and aircraft capacity.
“As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to continue cooperation in order to open flights by Emirates airline in our country,” the KGA added.
The airline’s fleet consists of 226 aircraft. Last year, Emirates carried more than 43 million passengers. Emirates ranks fourth in the ranking of the best airlines in the world.
