TOP 20 tourist areas of Kazakhstan named

Minister of Tourism and Sports Ermek Marzhikpayev, at a board meeting on the results of activities in the field of tourism development for 2023 and priority tasks for 2024, said that on behalf of the Prime Minister, the list of priority territories has been expanded from 10 to 20.

The TOP 20 tourist destinations in Kazakhstan include:

- Khan Ordasy (WKR);

- Kargaly Reservoir (Aktobe region);

- Tourist complex (Kostanay region);

- Shchuchinsk-Borovskaya resort area of Akbura (Akmola region);

- Imantau-Shalkar resort area (NKR);

- Bayanauyl (Pavlodar region);

- Resort area Katon-Karagay (EKR);

- Alakol resort area (Abay and Zhetysu regions);

- Turgen - Kaskelen ski complex (Almaty and Almaty region.);

- “Koksay resort” (Zhambyl region);

- Balkhash (Karaganda region);

- Turkestan (Turkestan region);

- Baikonur cosmodrome (Kyzylorda region);

- Ulytau (Ulytau region);

- Warm beach (Mangistau region);

- Settlement Sarayshyk (Atyrau region);

- center of gastronomic tourism (Shymkent);

- Tourist district (Astana).

- “Taking into account the dynamic growth in the flow of domestic tourism, the Ministry, together with local executive bodies, has developed road maps for the development of the infrastructure of the mentioned tourist destinations,” the department noted.
