Tengritravel.kz reports: Minister of Culture and Sports Askhat Oralov told how the tourism sector will be developed in Kazakhstan in the next few years.
According to the head of the Ministry of Culture and Sport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the country plans to make tourism a priority for economic development.
"In particular, the goal is to increase employment in this area up to 800 thousand people, and the growth of gross value added in the industry - up to 6 trillion tenge. It is planned to increase the growth of investment in accommodation and food services up to 260 billion tenge," he said.
It is expected that migration control will be provided by the electronic system eQonaq and special mobile applications. Also, Askhat Oralov added "Together with the state organizations, will be taken measures to prevent the risks associated with the liberalization of the visa and migration policy".
"In order to assess the effectiveness of the invested funds, it is planned to introduce a national rating assessment of the regions in terms of the level of development of tourism infrastructure. The rating will cover priority areas and top 50 destinations included in the Kazakhstan Tourism Map.
"Private flows will be attracted for the implementation of small, medium and large anchor investment projects in the field of regional tourism. The priority territories will be Mangystau, Turkestan, East Kazakhstan regions, Almaty mountain cluster and other locations," the member of the government said.
