France and Kazakhstan strengthen cooperation in the tourism sector

Under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a ceremonial signing of a Joint Cooperation Agreement took place between the French hotel group Accor and ALAZAR GROUP LLP.

The signing ceremony of the document was attended by the Minister of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ermek Marzhikpayev, the First Vice Minister of National Economy Timur Zhaksylykov, Chairman of the Tourism Industry Committee of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurtas Karipbaev, representative of Akimat of the Pavlodar region, General Director of Accor in the New East Europe region Alexis Delaroff and representative of ALAZAR GROUP LLP and Orient Finance Group LLP Ruslan Shaekin.

The Head of State noted the need to take a set of measures to increase investment potential and create favorable conditions for the development of entrepreneurship in the industry. The indicator of investment in fixed assets at the end of 2023 amounted to almost 800 billion tenge, which is 1.5 times more than the previous year (in 2022, 513 billion tenge), and the number of placements for the first time exceeded the mark of 4 thousand units.

- The implementation of projects to create tourist accommodation facilities by the world's leading hotel group Accor, which has extensive experience in the ecosystem of the international hospitality industry, will undoubtedly make a significant contribution to the development of the tourism sector in Kazakhstan. We highly value the exchange of experience with such an international company, and we hope that this cooperation will produce fruitful results,” noted Ermek Marzhikpayev.
