Yerzhan Erkinbaev was appointed Vice Minister of Tourism and Sports, Tengrinews.kz reports.
“By the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerzhan Malikovich Erkinbayev was appointed to the position of Vice-Minister of Tourism and Sports,” the message says.
Before his appointment, he worked as Vice Minister of Culture and Sports from 2021.
Erzhan Erkinbaev was born in 1982 in Zhambyl region.
Graduated from the Kazakh State Law Academy and the International Academy of Business.
He began his career in 2002 as a lawyer in a private company.
At various times he worked as a lawyer, executive director, and general director of a number of commercial structures.
He held the positions of General Director of the Shymbulak ski resort, the Medeu sports complex, and was a deputy of the Almaty Maslikhat of the VI convocation.
In 2016-2018 he worked as director of the Almaty State Zoological Park.
In 2019-2021, he acted as chairman of the board, chairman of the board of JSC National Company Kazakh Tourism.
