Ermek Marzhikpayev was reappointed as Minister of Tourism and Sports

Ermek Marzhikpaev was born on August 29, 1969 in Tselinograd. In 1994 he graduated from the Seifullin Tselinograd Pedagogical Institute, in 2001 from Turan University, and in 2009 from Kokshetau University. History teacher, lawyer, bachelor of finance.
He began his career as a physical education teacher, boxing coach, and was a high school history teacher in 1991-1992. From 1992 to 1995 he held the position of director of the Shonay private enterprise. From 1995 to 2008, he held the position of general director of the Bereke-Burabay private enterprise (LLP). From 2007 to 2009 he was a deputy of the Akmola regional maslikhat. In the period from 2008 to 2012, he held the position of akim of the Arshaly region, from 2012 to 2013 - akim of the Zerendinsky district of the Akmola region. From 2013 to 2014 - Deputy Akim of the Akmola region on issues of construction, housing and communal services and roads. From January 2015 to March 2019 - akim of Kokshetau.
Since 2019, he has held the position of akim of Akmola region.
On September 2, 2023, Ermek Marzhikpayev was appointed Minister of Tourism and Sports.
It should be noted that on the morning of February 6, the Amanat faction proposed the candidacy of Olzhas Bektenov for the post of Prime Minister of Kazakhstan. Previously, he held the position of head of the Presidential Administration.
In the afternoon, Bektenov’s candidacy was approved as a deputy of the Mazhilis. The decree on the appointment of Olzhas Bektenov was signed by the President.

At a meeting of the Mazhilis, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev explained the decision to dismiss the government. The President also stated the need to adapt to new realities.
