More than 60 thousand tourists visited Aktobe region in 2023
More than 60 thousand tourists have visited Aktobe region since the beginning of the year. The region, according to experts, attracts a lot of travelers. However, there are factors that hinder the development of domestic tourism, says Natalia Salkova, a correspondent of Khabar 24.
The area of the Irgiz-Turgai Natural Reserve is almost 1.5 million hectares. The territory is home to about 30 species of mammals, as well as 32 species of birds listed in the Red Book. In a specially protected natural area, the employees of the reserve have developed several routes for tourists. They combine hiking, horseback riding and boat trips. However, since the beginning of summer, only about 500 people have visited here
Shynar Akasheva, chief specialist of the Irgiz-Turgai Nature Reserve:
- In 2010, we took only 2 groups of 6 people per week on the route "Malaidar". After the direction "Torgai – Nura" was opened, 4 groups of tourists began to receive. And with the opening of the third route "Shalkar – Tabriz", it became possible to organize tours for 6 groups of 6 people each. This is the environmental burden that we can afford, all this is coordinated with the scientific staff.
Those who want to see the local flora and fauna are not only among Kazakhstanis, but also tourists from near and far abroad. Tours to the nature reserve will start in the district center-the village of Irgiz, and it is more than 400 kilometers from Aktobe. However, many people do not dare to overcome such a distance on a road that is far from ideal.

- Of course, there is interest. I can even give an example: foreign tourists send a lot of requests, even recently there was a request from Spain, a group of people wanted to come to the Irgiz district, where they wanted to study birds, they looked somewhere on the Internet. After that, we said that we had certain difficulties, they said we would postpone it for next year, prepare more carefully and come to you.
In addition to the reserve, there is a crater "Zhamanshin" in the Irgiz district, which arose more than a million years ago as a result of a meteorite falling to Earth. There are also architectural monuments here. Therefore, to popularize the attractions, experts plan to hold more presentations
Auez Aryzgulov, Head of the Tourism Department of the Aktobe Region Entrepreneurship Department:
- It is planned to hold a road show. This presentation is planned in various cities of Kazakhstan, including abroad, in particular, it is planned in Chinese cities, given the popularity of Dimash Kudaibergen in this region, it is also planned in nearby cities of Russia, Uzbekistan, this option is still being considered.
Information tours for media representatives, bloggers and entrepreneurs will also be organized this fall. About 15 million tenge was allocated from the budget for this. And 7 additional camping zones will be installed on the most popular tourist routes this year.
