"Akbota - Sankibay" mountain is located 45 km of Miyaly village.
In the XVIII century there lived wealthy and respected man Sankibay, who owned herds of horses. Traditionally, at that time, the men of the village paid an annual courtesy visit to Khan Abilkayyr. Taking advantage of the absence of soldiers in the village, Kalmyks attacked them and stole cattle. The brave daughter of Sankibay – Akbota gathered the youth and chased them to return stolen cattle. In a fight with the enemies, Akbota was seriously wounded in the chest and died. But returned the cattle to the village. Upon learning about this misfortune, Sankibai grieved greatly about the death of his daughter. He decided to bury her body on the top of the mountain so that people and animals would not touch her grave with their feet, and soon he himself turned to stone from grief. Since then, the impregnable rock depicting the merging of two figures has been called Akbota – Sankibay.
