The Obelisk of Glory in Aktobe was built in in August 1970 in honor of locals who died for their homeland during the Great Patriotic War. The monument was located in the central part of the city on A. Moldagulova Avenue.
The monument consists of a composite combination of the image of a warrior. The image of a soldier consists of elements such as the Red Army overcoat, which was worn during the Civil War. In honor of those who died at the front, an Eternal Flame is burning in front of the monument, and which a warrior looks at.  The creators of this monument were the architect T. Dzhanibekov and the sculptor N. Sobolev. The total height of the granite Obelisk of Glory is 18 m.
