The famous Kazakh sniper girl, who destroyed 78 enemy soldiers and officers during the World War II, became famous not only for her abilities, but also for her sincere love for the motherland and the desire to protect it.
Aliya Moldagulova was mortally wounded in battle in 1944. She was posthumously awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union and was awarded the Order of Lenin.
The monument is not only a tribute to the memory of Aliya, but also is a symbol of love for the Motherland. It's intended to appeal to be proud for our country and it's heroes.
