The regional memorial museum of the Hero of the Soviet Union Aliya Moldagulova was established in 1980, and the solemn opening took place in April 1985 on the eve of the 40th anniversary of the Great Victory and the 60th anniversary of the heroine with the participation of representatives of party, Komsomol, military, veteran organizations. Aliya Moldagulova, a Soviet sniper, who accounted for 78 destroyed enemy soldiers and officers, was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union in 1944. The exposition of the museum is represented by more than 8 thousand items of storage, among which are letters from the front, A. Moldagulova's letter of conferment of the title of Hero of the Soviet Union, archival documents, materials and relics of the war years, military equipment and utensils, military uniforms. The museum is a center for the military-patriotic education of the younger generation and the collection of documents, materials about the Second World War, Aktobe heroes and war veterans.
